PAWA'S BOOK OF THE WEEK 

Zambian born writer and poet, Malama Katulwende, first published his poetry in an anthology titled, “Under the African Skies: Poetry form Zambia” in 2003.

 However,  this is the first time that Malama has presented to the world some of his best pieces of unpublished poetry which he had been writing for nearly two decades.

 Like most of his published works, DRUMS OF WAR is a call to battle. It raises into focus Africa’s most pertinent challenges: underdevelopment, corruption, conflict and post-colonial alienation.

 Malama’s poetry is a stark reflection of his culture, history and intellectual environments in which he has been able to create. 

In addition to being a Writer, Malama is also a Mathematics teacher as well as an entrepreneur and co-founder of Knowledge gates Tools, an information technology company based in Lusaka.
